Intrigued by the dog’s actions, Vesna approached the grave to investigate, leading to a remarkable revelation. Contrary to popular belief, the dog’s intention wasn’t to exhume the grave. Her purpose for digging the hole was entirely different.
As it turned out, the devoted canine had recently given birth to four precious puppies. Instead of mourning a lost owner, she was an ordinary street dog desperately seeking refuge for her vulnerable offspring. Weighed down by weakness and bloated with the responsibilities of motherhood, she yearned for a safe haven.
