It can be very painful when a cherished pet passes away. However, people often find ways to honor and remember their deceased pets as a way to keep their memories alive. One woman’s tattoo honoring her late dog, Sebastian, has touched many hearts online. Anna Halcin and Sebastian were very close, and Sebastian would show his love by hugging Anna’s arms with his paws.
“He was special to me, and always will be,” Halcin shared to The Dodo. “We were absolutely best friends. He always loved giving my arm a hug!”
Despite the happiness they shared, Sebastian’s time with Anna was eventually cut short. Last October, Sebastian sadly passed away, causing Anna great grief. But the woman came up with a touching way to keep Sebastian’s memory close to her forever.
“I wanted something that was always with me, no matter what, and a tattoo seemed just perfect,” she said.
Anna decided to get a tattoo on her arm as a tribute to her beloved dog. The tattoo shows Sebastian’s paws wrapped around her arm, just like he used to do when he wanted to show her love. The tattoo serves as a reminder that Sebastian will always be with her, offering her hugs whenever she needs one. The tattoo has been a comforting presence for Anna as she has gone through the grieving process, and helps to keep Sebastian’s memory alive in her life.
“I wanted something that was always with me, no matter what, and a tattoo seemed just perfect,” Anna explained. “Now, every time I look down, it’s like he is hugging me. That’s helped me cope quite a bit.”
People at the Jack & Diane’s Tattoo in Gulfport, Mississippi were the ones that made possible Anna’s sweet tattoo. Impressed by their work, she decided to share the piece of work online, where people rushed to appreciate it.
“I just wanted to say thank you so much for sharing this y’all,” the woman wrote on Facebook. “He meant the world to me since he was my first dog and to see this post get so much recognition means so much He absolutely deserves all the attention he’s getting.”
