It is well known the highly important role that bees play as pollinators. Nothing we know on planet Earth won’t be the same without these tiny tireless work. Yet not too many people know that bees are also incredibly intelligent creatures.
A recent footage shows two honeybees joining their forces in the attempt to unscrew a bottle of soda and presumingly reaching the juice high in sugar. The pair eventually succeeded and the ‘un-bee-lievable’ video went viral on social media. It did not take too long until the video – initially shared on Twitter – gained in popularity on Internet!

The moment was captured on camera last month, by a Brazilian worker in São Paulo during her lunch break. “The video was recorded during my lunch break from work,” the person described the incredible video. “I got a soda from a customer but soon the bees stole it.”

Very impressive for some, or terrifying for others, this video shows that bees are far more clever than anyone had ever thought. “The finding that bees exhibit not just surprising levels of intelligence, but also emotion-like states, indicates that we should respect their needs,” said Professor Lars Chittka from the Queen Mary University of London.
