When some concerned citizens came across ten hopeless duckling on a busy highway in Southgate, Michigan, they rushed to help them and called the animal control. Soon after, officer Diane Desrosiers arrived at the scene and rescued the tiny ducks, but unfortunately their mother was nowhere to be found.
Thus Desrosiers decided to take the ducklings to a golf club pond nearby, in order to release them there, but she witnessed the sweetest thing ever. The orphaned ducklings were immediately adopted by a mother duck. The adorable moment was captured on camera, and it shows that animal are sometimes better than humans.
It was the most precious kind of thing I’ve ever witnessed,” said golf player Chris Grandy, after witnessing the scene. “They lost their mom and now they got a new mom. It was such a motherly thing.”
With the golf club pond already having a duck – Stella – officer Desrosiers thought it would be better for the duckling, but anyway, she never that anything like this would happen. Stella who was already having her own babies, immediately took the orphaned ducks under her wing. The moment was so intense and emotional for everyone that witnessed it.
“Animal Control Officer found 10 baby ducks.. stopped traffic, rounded them up and brought them to the South Winds Golf Club to put them in one of our ponds,” Chris Grandy wrote on Facebook. “As soon as the officer put the babies in the water, without hesitation, Stella left her family and welcomed the new ones. Way to go Stella!”
