Imagine having to live the rest of your life in a cage without being able to look at nature and enjoy all kinds of activities outdoors, in the sun light? That would be pretty terrible, right? Well, sadly, some living beings out there simply don’t have a choice. Just like these rescued ducks.
They are brought up just to serve as dinner for us humans sometime. Their lives consist of just an endless row of days in the dark with no access to nature and fresh air. Until they were rescued by the Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary in High Falls, New York, the ducks in the video below were denied their basic need to swim.
So one of the first things their rescuers wanted to do was to offer them a chance to see water and swim for the first time. They took them at a nearby pound, and let the ducks run free. Shy at first, the ducks started to make their way to the water. Their reactions as they get to enjoy swimming is surely one of the best things you will see all day. If this doesn’t put a smile on your face, then I don’t know what will!
