We’ve been witnessed so many unusual friendships between animals of different species, and one thing is certain: when it comes to caring and comforting those in need of help, nothing compares with a dog’s gentle soul. These angels we call dogs, aren’t just men’s best friends, but apparently everyone’s best buddies, and this big-hearted Beagle is no different!
Molly – an adorable Beagle who lives in Australia, was heartbroken after losing her puppies at birth. The moment left some deep wounds on her soul and she was nothing bud sad and depressed. Molly was feeling so lonely, but fortunately everything was about to change when she met Poss – an orphaned baby possum.
The lonely pup was hanging in the backyard, when stumbled upon a tiny animal. The poor little creature was so scared and confused. Most likely he lost his mom and ended up there, by falling from a tree. However, when seeing Molly the cute little thing immediately jumped on her back, thinking she’s his mom. The dog on the other hand was more than happy to carry him. The two are inseparable ever since.
“They’re an unlikely pair,” Sara, Molly’s mom said. “I think that possum thought that Molly was her mother and vice versa. No matter how improbable it may seem, these two were clearly destined to meet!”
It’s is so heartwarming to see these two, so different, animals finding comfort in each other. While little Poss is comforting his adoptive mom from losing her babies, Molly shows her baby what a mother’s love means, by cuddling with him and taking care of him, every single day.
