Cat is guarding pregnant owner’s belly – now watch her reaction when the baby is born!

It’s well-known that pets can be remarkably affectionate and insightful, as evidenced by this heartwarming tale. Liel Ainmar Assayag adopted a shelter cat, whom she named Panda. The feline took an immediate liking to her new owner and would follow her around constantly.

However, there was one aspect of Liel that fascinated Panda in particular – her belly. Panda’s favorite pastime was lying directly on top of it. As Liel’s belly grew larger due to her pregnancy, Panda had to settle for lying next to it instead. It was as though Panda sensed that something special was hidden inside, and patiently waited for it to arrive.

“Once I got pregnant she started following me around the house, tucking her head on my belly, purring,” the mother told LoveMeow. “Now, 3 months later, she jumps on the bed near him, smells him, sits next to him. You can clearly see she loves him from the beginning!”

Throughout Liel’s pregnancy, Panda became even more affectionate and loving towards her owner. Perhaps she sensed that Liel needed extra comfort and care as she prepared for the arrival of her child. Finally, after nine months, Liel gave birth to a baby boy named Sean.

Initially, Panda seemed somewhat perplexed when the baby arrived, but she approached him and gave him a sniff as if to confirm something. It seemed that this was what she had been anticipating all along.

Today, Sean and Panda are the closest of companions, and Liel is proud to be their mother. Panda still enjoys snuggling up with Sean, just as she did when he was nestled in his mother’s womb. At night, if she’s not sleeping beside him, she’ll position herself as close to the door as possible, almost as if keeping watch over him. Sean may not fully comprehend it yet, but he has gained a loyal friend for life in Panda.
