Baby otters are without a doubt some of the cutest animals in the world. Nobody can resist seeing a baby otter in danger and do nothing, and nor did the kindhearted people who saved the otter in the video below.
The baby otter was only a few weeks old when he unfortunately slipped into a canal and was separated from his family. The otter was struggling to stay afloat. Fortunately for him, he was rescued by a retiree.
Then, the baby otter was placed in the care of specialized personnel at the Wildlife Reserve Singapore. There he received specialized care from a team of vets who made sure the baby otter receives the treatment he so desperately needed. They even gave the baby otter a name. After much deliberation, they’ve finally settled on a name: ZooToby.
The next step after the otter got better and was out of danger was to find the perfect location to set him free. The goal was to get the adult otters to notice the baby and take him under their wing. That turned out to be a massive challenge.
