There’s nothing more heart-melting then a reunion of a mom and her lost baby. And this story of an orangutan mother while meeting her own daughter after being separated for several days, gives such powerful emotions that cross over to different animal species.
The orangutan mother Clara shows nothing but love and caring for her precious baby Clarita since the day she was born. She took care of her and feed her from the moment she came into this world. They both live at Nyaru Menteng Orangutan Rescue Center in Borneo, a sanctuary for abandoned orangutans. Unfortunately in one day Clara’s precious little baby was taken away. According to reports, an alpha male took Clarita away from its mom.
As if this weren’t heart-breaking enough, it took nearly a week before Clara was reunited with her baby again. But the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation made it possible, in the end. Since a baby orangutan separated from its mom ends up in a rejection most of the time, Clarita was presented to her mom by a nurse. But there were only ungrounded worries as Clara accept her baby instantly.
And when the little baby was transferred to her mom, her reaction brought tears on everyone’s eyes. Soon the mother and the baby will finish the rehabilitation process, they will be released back into the wild. The video proves us that orangutans are so much like humans! Watch their reunion bellow!
