In the most adorable footage I ever seen, a faithful Golden Retriever is protecting her mini-human best friend from being scolded by her mom. The video has gone viral on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok.
Since You You – a two year old girl – came into this world, the family’s dog Harry, has always shared a special relationship with her. But the two are not just the greatest, inseparable friends as the the gentle dog is a guardian angel for the tiny girl. Always overprotective. This time, the little You You ruined her mom’s facial cream, so she’s being told off by her parent. But her loyal furry companion is there to protect her, as always. Only this the mother caught the moment on her cellphone and the footage went viral.
Speaking for the MailOnline, the woman identified herself as Ms Sun, explained the moment. “I was honestly really upset,” she said. “I’d just bought the cream and half of it was already gone. My baby started crying because I was shouting at her quite aggressively.”
Of course, the mother’s anger disappeared as soon as she spotted Harry shielding YouYou by putting her front paws around her. Upon this heartwarming sight, the mother immediately calmed down. But before, she even tried to school Harry for his overprotective behavior.
“You, get up. Stop protecting,” the 32-year-old woman said. “I was still upset but I thought it was also quite funny.’ Ms Sun said. ‘It was very heart-warming. Dogs would find ways to express their love if you treat them properly.”
As Ms Sun said, Harry always acts like this when his little friend gets in troubles with her parents. “Whenever we speak to [You You] in a harsh tone, he would come over and try to shield her with his paws,” the mother said. “He would protect the child with his life.”
