During the rainy season, floods are very common in Bangladesh, but extremely dangerous as well, for both humans and wildlife. A tiny baby deer got separated from its family after a torrential rain lead to a fast rising flood on river in Noakhali, Bangladesh. Fortunately for the little one, the young boy spotted when the tiny creature was taken away by the fast waters. He immediately jumped in and desperately tried to save the deer.
In the end his brave, fearless gesture paid off as they’ve both safely made it to the river banks. A photographer has witnessed the heartwarming rescue and captured it on camera. And the powerful images are speaking for themselves.
The photographer, named Hasibul Wahab said he and the others that witnessed the scene, couldn’t believe their eyes when seeing the brave boy. However, he said at some point they even feared for his life.
“He was such a brave boy – the river was so full of water and it was high tide so we thought he might drown,” Wahab said. “My friend was even ready to jump into the river to save the boy. But he made it, and when he returned, we thanked the boy. There were only five to seven people observe this situation but it was a phenomenal sight.”
