Fans at football game use American flag to save falling cat

If cats really have nine lives, then this one has at least one less, after it dramatically fell a few levels at the Hard Rock Stadium, Miami. Thankfully for the poor feline, some of the fans made an impossible catch and saved its life using an American flag. The moment was caught on camera and it quickly gained popularity on social media!

It was a really heart-thumping for the football fans gathered at the Hard Rock Stadium, to watch a collage match between the Miami Hurricanes and the Appalachian State Mountaineers. However, it wasn’t the game itself that gave them goosebumps, but an unfortunate cat that ventured itself on a ledge and fell.

In vain, the stray cat desperately tried to climb on the ledge. The efforts of the people that were trying to get it back have been also powerless, but happily some quick thinking fans bellow managed to break the cat’s fall using an American flag, and eventually to save its life.

The hero that catch the helpless cat is named Craig Cromer and he works as a facilities manager at the University of Miami. A big fan of the team, Craig and his wife do not miss any of the home games and according to him, they’re bringing the flag used to catch the cat, every time.

“This is my first catch,” Craig explained. “They were trying to grab it from above and they couldn’t reach it but they were scaring it downward. It hung there for a little while with its two front paws, then one paw, then I was like, ‘Oh my goodness, it’s coming soon.’ ”

Miraculously, the cat made it unharmed, but the moment will definitely remain in the memory of everyone at the stadium. “This is probably the strangest thing that’s happened at a game,” Craig’s wife, Kimberly described the moment.
