A traffic jam is definitely not the best way to start your day. With all the honking and shouting it’s never a fun thing to be in except for these lucky drivers. They were heading to their home, when suddenly the road was blocked with a majestic entry. It all happened in South Africa. The crowd waiting in the Kruger National Park was astonished by the royal beauty of four lions walking down the asphalt in the rain.

These cats belong to a tight-knit lion pride famous in Kruger also known as Mantimahle males. The drivers were both scared and surprised and for sure unable to move past these wild cats. All they could do was, catch the sight on their cameras.

While some may say it’s a common sight to see in Africa, these were actually a once in a blue moon view. The social media was raging with concerns and happiness. “Lions walking down a concrete road just seems wrong since they are losing their habitat,” said one of the witnesses.

Lions are very protective of their territories. Males other than their family competing for the love of loneliness within their territory will rage them up. In this video, these lions are together walking to make sure no unwelcome visitors are stepping in their land.

This majestic moment will always be a tale to tell to the people who witnessed it for years to come. “I was lucky enough to have a similar encounter with lions in Kruger 10 years ago,” one commenter wrote about the video. “It was something I’ll never forget.”
