Xander Mellor, with the help of his mother Natalie Ellenburg, saved money by collecting spare change and adding it to his savings jar.
For the past 18 months, he has been diligently saving up to buy a puppy for his unforgettable sixth birthday.
While most kids crave sweets, ice cream, and fried chicken, Xander gave up his favorites because he was determined to get a puppy.
When his grandparents found out about his wish, they decided to visit and make it come true!
Xander thought it was just another visit from his grandparents and eagerly ran out to greet them. When he reached the car, Grandma asked him to close his eyes and stretch out his arms for a surprise.
He was thrilled and curious about what Grandma had for him, but when he opened his eyes, he was in awe – it was the exact puppy he had been wishing for!
