This baby barn owl photographed in mid-run is taking internet by storm

An absolutely adorable snap has been recently taken the Internet by storm. The now viral photo, shows a sweet baby barn owl acting like it is late for the most important meeting of its life. The precious moment was captured on camera by Dutch photographer Hannie Heere, and now people can’t get enough of it.

Though great fond of photography for almost her entire life, the 63-year-old Dordrecht-based photographer has been taken it seriously over the las few years. But apparently it was enough to capture a once-in-a-lifetime scene.

A few months ago, Hannie was outside the city looking for some great snaps, when she spotted a barn owl chick. The sweet little thing still had white fluffy chick feathers, so that mean it wasn’t already able to fly. As it turns out, baby owl’s are strong enough to flap only when they’re 7-8 weeks old. Nonetheless, until then, the chicks legs are strong enough to let wake around their nest.

It is was what happened in this situation. Apparently, the tiny owl went for a run and the gifted photographer captured the exact moment of it. The result? A lovely photo that made each and every person on Facebook to fell in love with the cute baby owl.

“I was laying on the ground,” Hannie explained for the PetaPixel. “This young bird count not fly yet and was not afraid. I took the picture from a distance of about 5 to 6 meters [around 16 feet].”

The photographer never expected, though, for her photo to be so popular on social media, but on contrary – the adorable photo – caused some big waves online. “I was very, very surprised,” the woman said.
